The 22 year old Belgian rider did not go unnoticed at the Ronde des Sables de Loon-Plage 2021 (France), achieving a 3rd place at the end of the race. Cyril Genot, who is participating in the German motocross championship (cat. MX1) this season, went from the hard terrain of the ADAC to the sand France.

However,starting outside the top 20, his #7 KTM climbed over 2h30 to 3rd place behind Potisek and Kellett to secure a podium finish on his first start in a sand endurance race. His great technique in the arena and his physical preparation for this type of event make Cyril Genot a serious candidate for the final victory of the championship.
